Social Media Strategy for Small BusinessRob’s philosophy on using social media for business is that the role of a social media professional is to empower the business or brand to use social media effectively themselves. He approaches the task with a unique blend of training and coaching to help his clients not only understand the tools and their applications, but also to make social media a part of their everyday lives. Parkwood Village Apartments The challenge: help develop a social media community on Facebook alone for a 400-resident apartment community and train their staff to handle the account. The result: two weeks later, Parkwood had surpassed its 30-day goal of 100 fans–nearly a 25% reach into their population–and brought 90 residents together for an end-of-summer pizza and pool party. Fosters American Grille The challenge: to build brand awareness amongst Raleigh-area restaurant-goers with no existing social media presence. The method: build awareness for the restaurant’s social media efforts through in-house promotion and Facebook advertising and attract new fans and followers organically through shareable content. The result: 30 days into the campaign, the brand had attracted 680 combined Twitter followers and Facebook fans. The next step: build engagement with fans and followers by providing interesting, relevant content to our audience. |
